Krisztina has helped us take our Abby to the next level. We were letting things relax too much because Abby is chill and without major issues. With her advice, our recall is almost bullet proof and walks in our neighbourhood (rabbits!) are more enjoyable. And we learned how to reward her.

I have been working with Krisztina, Gibsons Dogrunner, for several months now. My Pup was presenting with some behaviour challenges including dog reactivity, stranger anxiety and aggression. I had already worked with other on-line, virtual and in-person trainers, but Krisztina’s assistance was by far the most helpful.
As a retired psychologist, I know how important a thorough behavioural assessment is to understanding and changing challenging behaviours and unhelpful habits and Krisztina was incredibly thorough in her efforts to understand the underlying cause, triggers and functions of my dog’s problem behaviours. Her training approach based on her thorough assessment, extensive knowledge and experience , and Positive Reinforcement, achieved the results we were hoping for. My pup and I are much happier and calmer companions.
It was/is a lot of work but Krisztina’s detailed instructions to homework practice, written and video, her between session support by email and text, her continuous problem solving and encouragement, and her willingness to incorporate my vet’s recommendations around medication, have been crucial to improving my dog’s behaviour around strangers and other dogs, and generally helping him enjoy the world around him.

We are so grateful we found Krisztina to help us with Jasper, our “almost 2 year old” golden retriever. He is a pandemic dog that we adopted at 12 months of age. We were struggling with his socialization and leash pulling. She was quick to see his behavioral patterns, as well as ours! This allowed my husband and I to be more in sync with our training. She taught all 3 of us new skills to lessen his anxiety while out for a walk and strengthened his general skills of “sit”, “stay”, “heel”, and “walk".
Her attention to detail is amazing. She was available to us whenever we had questions throughout our 5 week training. We were provided so much information (that we still refer to) and know that she is there for us if we have any further issues or seek additional training.
I highly recommend Krisztina for assisting in modifying your dog’s behavior and helping you have a happier relationship with your pooch! Her dog knowledge is the best we have ever encountered in the 30 years of having dogs.

I would highly recommend Krisztina. We adopted our dog from Mexico. When he first arrived he was anxious and after 5 weeks training he is a confident pup. Krisztina was able to identify the underlying causes of the anxious behaviour and was able to provide lots of resources to help including informative handouts and videos. Krisztina is a fantastic dog trainer! She is incredibly knowledgeable and knows how to work with every kind of dog. I know she specializes in reactive dogs, but she did an excellent job with helping my shy Merlin develop confidence when meeting new dogs! Although he is a giant Irish wolfhound, he is very gentle and passive -so it was wonderful to see him gain more confidence in himself. Krisztina has also been amazing with teaching a loose leash walk, as well as sit and stay.

Krisztina helped us to better understand the personality attributes of our 1 year old dog and helped us to identify the reasons for some of his behaviours. She taught us loose-leash walking and helped us in gaining confidence and consistency in basic skills and recall. My 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier, Jerry is not well trained as he was attacked by another dog before he was one year old. He then also had issues with my other 2 dogs. I needed help! I was fortunate to be able to see The Gibsons Dogrunner’s trainer Krisztina.
The first ten sessions, Krisztina came to my house so that she could observe my other dogs, seeing where problems were occurring and getting a sense of our neighborhood. Immediately, Krisztina gave me tools, reading and training material to better control my reactive dog. Throughout the training sessions, Krisztina carefully observed and really helped me understand how Jerry thinks and what triggers his behaviors. I had anxiety issues thinking that my dog was aggressive, but Krisztina put my fears aside saying that Jerry is highly excited and that he can’t control his emotions. Though I have succumbed to the fact that I cannot walk Jerry in a dog traffic area, Krisztina taught me “calming” training tips that I can at least walk him. Many of my questions and concerns were answered in detail through emails and documentations. Jerry really bonded with Krisztina and was incredibly responsive to her commands. The only reason why I stopped training with her, is that I have to put in the work to train Jerry to my commands I highly recommend her!

My husband and I hired Krisztina to help us with our young Labrador puppy who had some quirky personality and behavioral issues and I'm so glad we did! Krisztina was very enthusiastic and came armed and organized with simple training plans and a wealth of knowledge to help us address our particular concerns. She paid incredible attention to detail and never failed to go home and do extra research if she didn't have the answer right away. She went above and beyond by providing us with extra information and resources and ideas and wasn't afraid of trying different tactics if her original ideas didn't work. I would like to give a shout out to Krisztina as the best dog walker/ trainer on the Sunshine Coast.
She has worked with my rescue Izzy who was extremely leash reactive when she started working with him. She trained him and he is now a much better behaved dog. She is very knowledgeable about dog care and helped me find the only dog food my dog could eat with his allergies. Krisztina had also taken care of Izzy and my two cats on occasions when I was out of town and she is responsible, totally trustworthy, and a delightful person. She walks my dog twice a day during the work week, and he loves her. She also walks my cat outside with a harness.
I trust her completely and am so thankful to have her as my pet's trainer and walker. I recommend her 100%!

Krisztina is amazing! As owner of the Dog Runner, she gives loving care and attention to every dog on her watch. My daughter’s dog Po, a cross between a border collie and a spaniel, used to wait at the door shortly before her walks, eagerly awaiting Krisztina’s arrival. After an hour of play on the beach with her dog pals, Po would come home exhausted and happy, ready for a good snooze by the fireplace. Often action shots of Po playing would be texted later, which I would share with my daughter while she was working. Thank you Krisztina for brightening our day by taking such good care of Po!
